REV. DR. NIA NAH TUMPE

Rev. Dr. Nia Nah Tumpe, has led a truly remarkable life filled with diverse experiences and accomplishments.

Tumpe's journey began in the Pentecostal faith. She then established her own church Abyssinian, which reflecting her theology of God’s Oneness, God’s Love, and God having no desire to judge nor punish God’s creation. Today, she is the Spiritual Leader of CDL which is a New Thought/Divine Science Church.

She has spent her life uplifting her community as: integral part of the United Black Community Fund, Clifford Wilson Service Center, Frederick Douglass Institute, and Council of Independent Black Institutions (CIBI. She has taken on the responsibility of homeschooling her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, providing them with a personalized and nurturing educational experience; in addition to leading CDL. Tumpe also serves as the president of the board at Transformational Healing Now whose mission is to provide transformative healing resources and services to individuals to the African American community. Tumpe's creativity and intellectual pursuits have also led her to become an author. She has written two inspiring books, "More Than a Bowl of Chili" and "Yahimba." These books offer unique perspectives and insights, sharing her wisdom and experiences with readers, and encouraging them to embrace their own journeys of self-discovery and empowerment.

Recognizing her exceptional contributions, Tumpe was sent to The Center for Divine Love over a decade ago, where she serves as the chaplain and administrator. In this role, she continues to provide spiritual guidance, support, and love to those in need, embodying her unwavering commitment to serving God and her community.
